Your
First Day | Your surgery | The
days after surgery
You and your doctor will have mapped
out your post-surgery care, deciding such questions as how many nights
you will likely stay in hospital, how many days in post-surgery recovery,
and your need for post-surgery visits and checkups.
Whenever you need to return for
a checkup or bandage change, you travel by our chauffeured car between
your hotel and the hospital.
During the first few days after
plastic surgery, you will be swollen, bruised and uncomfortable. Within
three to five days, you may return to your surgeon’s office or
he may visit your hotel to remove your external stitches. Then you will
feel well enough, for the most part, to begin moving about.
Once you are more comfortable moving
about, you may relax in your hotel or at the deluxe private beach resort
we use for our recovering clients. You can watch satellite television
or DVD movies, take advantage of a menu of holistic therapies and spa
treatments, walk by the beach, or sit by one of the two pools right
on the beach.
Your hotel room will have a wonderful
beach or garden view, a comfortable sofa, perhaps a balcony, and a luxurious
bathroom with a shower or tub. You may stroll the beach or gardens or
lounge at poolside to your content.
Most packages include a fully-accredited
nurse who will visit you daily to check on your bandages, stitches,
and ensure your comfort and good healing.
